Horatio Alger

a boy named Horatio Alger. Every day he sold newspapers on a corner in New York City. One extremely cold day, a very well dressed, obviously wealthy gentleman, brought a paper from Horatio. But it was so cold the man hurried off for getting his change. Horatio ran after him through the cold and searched all over New York to try and give the man

his change. Finally, after nearly freezing to death, Horatio found the man's plush office and ran into giving him his change. That was the beginning of Horatio's success, because he found the man fooling around with his secretary and blackmailed him for the next 35 years.
