The Food of the Gods (trailer, 1976)

Another H.G. Wells prediction came through. At one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. In other books, he predicted ray guns, sonic signaling devices, radio signals bouncing from planet to planet, all realities now.

But where does the mission end that reality begin? Are the gridded fire ants from Africa a warning of H.G. Wells' vision of nature run amok? Do the killer bees of South America give us a hint of the shape of things to come.

In one of his most fantastic books, The Food of the Gods, Wells predicted what could happen in an ecology-gone dessert, transforming harmless insects and animals into huge and vicious beasts, Strain on the flesh of humans.

Brother! All over the place! Everywhere! Everywhere! Food of the gods. Imagine a looster six feet tall. Swarms of hawk-sized wasps and pantry-sized rats putting humans in packs. Now American international pictures bring this most incredible H.G. Wells science fiction classic to the screen. The food of the gods. How did your husband happen to pay it to the chicken? Well when

we found out it weren't no oil, there was nothing to do about it, but we said it for the chicks. I'm way ahead of you, kid. I'm going to take this up and have a converter to plant food.

Well, when you're going to feed all the big animals, it's a big mess. Right on. And within five years, I'll go via sale to the past. Yes. If I told you I felt right now, you think it was crazy.

I'm joking. I want you to make love to me. It is crazy, isn't it? A time like this. Will H.G. Wells' most frightening prediction in the food of the gods also prove accurate?
