Ken's Friend Allan (commercial, 1959)

Barbie is getting a surprise party in her new dream house. The guest of honor is Mattel's exciting new teenage doll. It's Ken's buddy, Alan. Alan is exactly the same size as Ken. So he can wear all Ken's handsome outfits the way Nidge wears Barbie's fabulous clothes.

And Alan shares wonderful adventures with Barbie and her friends. Saturday, he works with the soda fountain along with Ken. And later, Alan and Mids double date with Ken and Barbie. Sometimes when the weather's nice, they all go skin diving.

Or they go on a picnic in the country. You'll love choosing outfits for Alan and Ken. If you go along with the ones for Barbie and Mids, you can get Mattel's new Alan, along with the genuine Barbie, Ken, Mids and Skipper, wherever toys are sold.

You can tell they're Mattel, they're swell.
