Teacher's Pet (trailer, 1958)

You're just pet, you're teacher's pet. This is a big city newspaper office, throbbing with the excitement and drama of headlines in the making. Now, who could fit into this picture better than Clark Gable, the hard-boiled, hard-driving city editor?

What is this? Doesn't anyone do any work around this joint anymore? Now, can you possibly picture this rough and tough character going to night school? Why sure you can, if Doris Day is the teacher.

Mmm. Look at this. Blood and sex. Oh, germism is so much more than blood and sex. What do you feel about sex? Oh, I'm all for it, but... But this is not the story about what Gable learns in school.

It's about what Doris learns when she keeps him after school. Mr. Cat! But Gable's romantic rival gives lessons too. That debonair professor of psychology, Gait Young, doubling on the drums. Flaming Mamie Van Doren giving lessons in a matomy.

Or I'm the girl who invented rock and roll But Gable never thought this babe would learn so fast Yes I'm the girl who invented rock and roll Yes Gable really rocks when this gal starts rolling Put them both together with a charming professor who's out on a bender And a stripped-tease gal who's a real solid sender

And what have you got? The Gable's romantic comedy of the year Teachers' Pep and How. You keep doing that and you get killed someday. But what a pleasant way to die. I wanna be teachers' pep. I wanna take home a diploma and show my that you love me too.

That you love me too.
