Good morning, friends. The House has had a busy week, largely with appropriation measures, beginning with the Army appropriation bill of $71 billion, which passed unanimously. This sum, earmarked to finance a fighting offensive army around the globe, is the largest appropriation bill ever passed for any purpose, by this or any other nation.
The House showed its disapproval of some of the addicts of the Office of Price Administration by chopping down its appropriation from the 165 million requested to 130 million.
