There is something in any person that makes him more than eager to join a club which has difficult entrance requirements. And the highest form of clattery is to find that your initiation of the club has been tailored to suit your own particular vocation.

Thus, if you are a detective and you've been invited to join the exclusive alphabet club, initiation involves the solving of a murder. Hello, creeps. This is T4Y, opening the doors of the Mystery Playhouse. We're reading some detective stories last week, trying to cure an annoying case of insomnia.

One particular set of tales was interesting enough, had sufficient deductive reasoning so that we thought you too would be interested in it. So tonight, we bring you an exciting chapter from the life story of that detective name of Nick Carter.

A single light burns brightly down in the basement, deep under the old brownstone mansion at the corner of Fifth and Fort, illuminating a small paper target. 20 yards away in the quarter span, firing fatherly.

To the left, about eight feet, eight inches. Try again. Left again, nine feet two inches. Nine feet exactly that time. He is. He is. He is. He is firing. I want to come in. Come ahead. I'm just about finished.

I've got to close up top because they need to be laid. That's it. We're in my bet with Sergeant Madison. What thing? What the? I bet him a dollar, the Austrian mother, wouldn't be back to cartridge more than 10 feet.

And just by 50 rounds, and not one cartridge, is more than nine and a half feet from the gums. Oh! I went a dollar, and Jansen is cleared of the murder charge, which proved that he couldn't have done it.
