This is The Mysterious Traveler, inviting you to join me on another journey into the realm of the strange and the terrifying. I hope you will enjoy the trip. That it will thrill you a little and chill you a little.

So settle back, get a good grip on your nerves and be comfortable, if you can. As you hear the story I call, the man who vanished. Our story begins in a small white walled hospital room.

Charles O'Dway, a man of forty-five, is just awakened. He looks about him in puzzlement. Then memory returns to him and he begins to call frantically. Doctor, Doctor, no! What are you? Yes, Doctor, what are you doing?

You're the Doctor. No, that's where I'm on the attendant. Don't speak to Doctor Harvey. Yes, yes, I must. I must. It's a matter of life and death. Okay, Mr. Odeway, okay. Doctor Harvey, borrow to please.

He's coming now, sir. Thank you. Tell me what day is. It's Friday, isn't it? It must be Friday. Sure, sure. It's Friday, Mr. Odeway. Here's Doctor Harvey now. Good morning, Mr. Adrei. You wanted to speak to me?

Yes, Dr. But tell me quickly what time is it? It's just ten minutes past ten, Mr. Adrei. Oh, thank heavens, my brother John isn't dead. There's still time to save him. Your brother? Yes, Dr. When I woke up, I didn't know how long it was since I was brought here to the hospital
