Good evening, Creed. Your mystery playhouse story for tonight was written by Percival Wile and was entitled The Adventure of the Fallen Evil. The reading role will be played by one of your favorite radio stars, Les Prenes.
In tonight's play you're going to meet a woman named Lucky, beautiful, with cynical, cold and deadly. A suave gambler named Ace Kendrick who fought to win a fortune for the marked deck and a steady hand.
And played by the remains, a young man named Tony Bernard who discovers that the only solution to his desperate situation is murder. A death warrant is not always a legal paper with court seal affixed in wax.
Sometimes a death warrant is a simpler thing. An ace of diamonds or a jack of clothes gleaming ceiling word on it. We felt table. As our story opens, Tony Venna, bankrupt young playboy, is leaving a lightcrub in Tentum getting home before his hangover arrives.
20 pounds bucks. Where am I going to get in? Pardon me, you are Tony Venna. Oh, sure. I am Johnny. Johnny the gent, Mr. Venna. You and me are taking a little ride. I'm gonna ride.
I get into the car, please. What is this? I work for Rocco Resini. Rocco? Yeah, Rocco. End of the car. No, I'm not here. What's the right deal? All right, hit it up at E.
Hey, you're taking me for a ride. Listen, I told Rocco I'd pay you a place. A place, please, please. I'll raise your voice like that, Mr. Lana. You are a gentleman. I am a gentleman. Leave us behave like same.
Rocco only asked me to see you get home safe as all. You're going to... No, no, not tonight. Tonight we just drive you to your place. What does he want me to do? He knows I'm broke.
