Almost Caught at Pinochle

Well, well, well, here's Mama Bloom's brood. So, today we find Papa in his office at the Excello Pictures Corporation in Hollywood. With him are his two sons-in-law Sidney and Harold,

and the three of them are not arguing instead. Well, listen. Eltony, how must you owe me on the last hand? Twenty-five cents. It's thirty-five? Thirty-five. Where do you get that part? I always got it ever since I learned to count.

Twenty-five and ten are thirty-five, or maybe you'd like to change that around, huh? Okay, okay, 35 cents it is. Here you are. I'm now in you two financial withers. Get through squabbling over a dime.

I'd like to hear some bits. I'm out 85 cents. Oh, so you're out 85 cents, huh? I'm out of my mind from you and Sydney. So what's the difference? Who's been? Mine, don't rush me.

I'd make it snappy, Paul. I said I have work to do this afternoon. Oh, Sydney, and you have work to do so. What little pleasure? I got out of being with you two is taking your money away at Peanut.

Come, you want to rush through that, huh? Now listen, leave me alone. I got a hot hand to figure. I haven't. I still have. Come on, the girls won't walk in on her. Oh, no, they weren't shopping. They won't stop it.

Sydney. Then mama goes shopping even she doesn't know where she lands up. And if mama came in and saw us playing Pinako, when we were supposed to be busy working, I'd never hear the last of it.

Stop worrying about that palm bit. All right, all right, then. Then, then 300. Again? Where'd you get this deck of cards? From the drugstore, I couldn't find a Pinako deck anyplace else. You must know the man who makes them.
