One Christmas Eve in the village of Toy Town, a ragged little boy knocked on the door of the Toy Shop, and the toy maker's daughter came to the door. What do you want, little boy? The Toy Shop clothes.
Please, I went a mother and father for Christmas. We only have toys here. You'd better run along home. It's growing late. Merry Christmas to you. The little boy went sadly down the street. He passed some children, singing a Christmas carol.
The new one he enjoyed the beautiful one! Suddenly along came the king's herald. He strode importantly to the toy shop and spoke loudly to the toy makers.
Toymaker, his Majesty the King has sent me to say that her Majesty the Queen would like a live doll for Christmas. A live doll? Oh! The King himself will call for the doll tonight. We'd best have it ready.
Good evening. Oh dear, a live doll. What shall I do? What shall I do? The Wizard of Misty Mountain might have a magic potion, father. That's right. So we might. Come get your cloak in mind, daughter.
We'll lock the toy shop and go and see the Wizard of Misty Mountain. The toy maker's daughter and her father hurried down the street. In their excitement, they didn't notice that they had dropped the key to the toy shop.
Nor did they notice the ragged little boy who came out of the shadows to pick it up. He stood for a moment, looking at the big doll in the window. Then he put the key in the lock, opened the door and entered the toy shop.
What a long-distance time we did here.
