You were talking about dinner, Miss Elliott. Tomorrow night? Well, I... Yes, I think tomorrow night would be fine. You'll have to call for me here, though. Mr. Curtis, I'll be working late. Well, that's okay. That's fine.

I'm glad you can make it. Well... Goodbye, again. Er... Goodbye, Mr. Nesbitt. Bye. Just wait till we're married, darling. You'll be able to forget all about staff meetings and movie actors and deadlines and everything.

Except me, I hope. You can go. You're the sweetest man that ever lived. Just try to put up with me a little longer. Please, just a little longer. Before we continue with Act 2 of Lady in the Dark, here's your Hollywood reporter, Libby Collins.

Dan helps Constance first to collect the staggering fare she runs up. Then to post bond for her even mortgages his cab. Only to discover that Constance's husband has run off for good. But Taxi ends on a merry note.

Instead of his money, Dan gets the beautiful Colleen. Beautiful is right. Just looking at Constance Smith, you see, why there's so many songs about Irish beauties. Well, Ken, Constance's lovely complexion has a Hollywood touch.

It sparkles speaks of daily Luxo-facials. Well, that Luxo-lovely look goes with being a star, Libby. It's no wonder nine out of ten screen beauties use Lux. Luxo-facials leave skin so delightfully soft and fresh. And girls, you'll see Luxo-care working the same beauty magic on your skin.
