From Hollywood, the Hollywood Radio Theater. And Denise Tharsal in Westward the Women. Ladies and gentlemen, you are producer, Mr. Irving Cummings. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. It's sometimes nice to look back to the trails blazed by our ancestors and take heart from their courage.

In tonight's play, I think you'll be fascinated by the unusual situation of one man bossing a wagon train of a hundred women, intended as wives of the California settlers. And as our stars of this intriguing Metro goal win mayor picture, we have Robert Taylor and Denise D'Arcelle playing their original roles in Westward the Women,

starring Robert Taylor as Buckwatt and Denise D'Arcelle as D'Arcelle. California a hundred years ago a settlement called Whitman's Valley yes early morning but the saloons are open and Roy Whitman knows where to find the man he's looking for they tell me it just came up from San Diego but yeah sit down Roy me brought a party all the way there from Missouri

I'm gonna get drunk for a week trying to forget about it you got plans for the week after no can I got a job for you if you're interested Oh, don't run, Carol, and don't grow wheat.

You ever really look at this valley? Wheat, cattle, and horses and ranches. The men who own them? Well, now they know that when I told them about this valley was true. They owe me to pat you on the back?

No, not yet. You see, in all my planning, I forgot one thing. Women. Good women to be wives and mothers. To make this valley a place that lasts forever. Once I got to deal with me.
