My Blue Heaven

Lux presents Hollywood, Libra Brothers Company, the makers of Lux Soil and Soap, bring you the Lux Radio Theatre, starring Betty Gravel and Dan Daley in My Blue Heaven. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Kealey.

Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. I'm certain you'll recall the words of that popular song of a few years back, my blue heaven, which said, just Molly and me and baby makes free. Well, in our play tonight, everything is heavenly with the marriage of a successful man and wife radio team, except no baby.

We hope you'll join us as we unfold at amusing and often heartbreaking efforts to adopt one. And as our stars of this successful 20th Century Fox picture, we have the original players, Two stars who have danced and sung their way to one of the most popular teams on the screen, Betty Gravel and Dan Daley.

And speaking of heavenly stars, have you noticed the complexion of our Hollywood Lux girls? You know, screen actresses are devoted to lux toilet-soaked care for smoother, lovelier complexion. A beauty care you can depend on with your daily lux facials.

Now my blue heaven, starring Betty Gravel as Kitty and Dan Daley as Jack Moran. Those of us who listened to Kitty and Jack Moran on the radio and who of us don't know that Kitty wasn't on the air last night.

And most of us know the reason why. There was an automobile accident a few days ago and Kitty is still in the hospital. And still they come. I've never seen so many flowers. You ever try to grow flowers, Kitty?

No, never. It's a wonderful hobby, you know. And there's nothing like a hobby to keep your mind. Doctor, does Jack know? Have you told him? That you lost your baby? That I can never have another one?
