Lux presents Hollywood. Leber Brothers Company, the makers of Lux Toilets Ope, bring you the Lux Radio Theatre, starring Richard Whitmark, Paul Douglas and Joyce McKenzie, in Panic in the Streets. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Keelen.

Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. You know a chief source of civic pride is the federal public health service in our American cities. Combined with the police forces and local governments, they wage your relentless battle against disease.

In tonight's play, Panic in the Streets, we combine the vigilance of these men with a thrilling manhunt, a search for the murderers of a man who has brought a plague to one of our waterfront cities, a plague that if not immediately controlled would bring terror and disaster to the entire country.
