Present Hollywood. Leaver Brothers Company, the makers of Lux Soil itself, bring you the Lux Radio Theatre, starring Van Johnson and Esther Williams in Easy to Web with Virginia Gray. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Kealey.

Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. The real test of any star's popularity is at the box office. And tonight we present two artists who have that box office magic, both as individuals and as a team.

They're Van Johnson and Esther Williams, and they star in the Metro Golden Mayor's Green Success, easy to wear. Just what makes a popular, a romantic team is inexplicable. But I think one reason why these stars rate so high with you is because they're so typically American.

Van Johnson, with his ingratiating smile, might be the boy next door. And Esther Williams, who literally swam her way into our hearts, proves that an outdoor girl can also be glamorous and feminine. Tonight they play their original roles in Easy to Wed.

A blithe and lively comedy about a newspaper reporter and a lady who makes news. You know American girls are famous for that easy-to-wet look. And Lux Toilet Soap helps them look that way. Their beauty is natural, but even natural beauty needs protection and the complexion care like Lux Soap.

Now here's the first act of easy-to-wet, starring Van Johnson as Bill Chandler and Esther Williams as Connie, with Virginia Gray as Gladys. It's early evening in the cocktail lounge of a fashionable hotel, two old acquaintances have a sudden meeting.

Bill! Bill Chandler! Well, you don't seem very happy to see me. I'm delighted from Brooklyn to Bombay of stabbing the back spells Haggity. But I've been looking all over for you all now, Bill. Why don't we just bury the hatches?
