Lux presents Hollywood. Lever Brothers Company, the makers of Lux Toilets Hope, bring you the Lux Radio Theatre, starring John Hodeac and Lynn Barry in Somewhere in the Night. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Keeley.

Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. Among the many aftermaths of war, one of the most haunting is the strange affliction of amnesia, which, as you know, is the total law of partial loss of memory through shock or injury.

Long after battle wounds have healed, men live on in a strange and lonely world, helpless, frightened and bewildered, obsessed with only one idea to recover their identity. Such is the keynote of our play tonight from 20th Century Fox's recent screen hit, Somewhere in the Night.

The story of a man who groped for his identity his right to live and love without fear through a welter of incriminating clues. And the stars who bring you this unusual exciting drama are John Hodyak playing his original screen roll and talented Lynn Barry, one of Hollywood's most lovely stars.

And speaking of our lovely stars, I met this week an old friend of mine, Miss Gloria Bristol, leading beauty specialist whose clients include many of our famous actresses. She told me that for years she'd recommended soap and water for complexion care, and knowing my position in this theatre, she went on to say in all sincerity that Lux's toilet soap

was first upon her list. Well, we know that nine out of ten screen stars depend on Lux soap for complexion care, I was naturally gratifying to have this unsolicited approval from a beauty expert. On to our play, Act 1 of Somewhere in the Night, starring John Hodyac as George Taylor and Lynn Barry as Christy Smith.
