Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theatre brings you John Payne and Lynn Barry in Sentimental Journey. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Keely. Meetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

Since our last Monday nights performance, some 30 million children have gone back to school. reminding us by the very silence they leave behind them, how great a role children play in our everyday lives. The theme of our Lux Radio here to play tonight from 20th Century Fox's recent screen hit, Sentimental Journey, is a child's profound and touching influence

on the lives of two people fighting for love and happiness in the face of tragedy. And our stars are John Payne playing his original screen role and the other talented and other popular Lynne Barrie.

Speaking of sentimental journey, Miss Sophia Marzek of Sioux City, Iowa, has told us of a different sort of journey, the distance about 5,000 miles, and the passenger a very cosmopolitan traveler, Lux Toilet Soap. She writes that she mails packages of American luxuries to her father's family in Poland, in every package are several cakes of luck soap. We thought the goodies we sent would

make the biggest hit with them, she says, but it was the soap they were most grateful for. Well, we're grateful indeed to know that luck soap is appreciated just as much by our friends abroad as here at home. It's curtain time, and here's Act 1 of Sentimental Journey, John Payne as Bill and Lynn better as Julie with Gloria McMillan as Hitty.

But when will Dr. Miller be back? You don't understand it's my wife it's Julie she's sick. He's got to get here right away. What? Oh I'm sorry yes I'm sure he will. Thank you. Thank you very much.
