We proudly present Hollywood. The radio theatre brings you Margaret O'Brien and Lionel Barrymore in Captain January. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Geeley. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.
Eight-year-olds Margaret O'Brien. Margaret has holidayed home to co-star with one of the screens most they love, that's her. Lionel Barrymore. They appear in Captain January from 20th Century Fox, the story of a bluff, Warren-Hodard lighthouse keeper, to whom the sea delivers a devoted partner for his lonely life, a little girl named Starr.
We're asked to keep pimpers on the lonely coast of Maine and the first act of our play, featuring two Metro-Bold and Mayor favorites, Margaret O'Brien as Starr and Lionel Barramar as Captain January. In the northeast, all the biting winter goes, latching the rocky coast of Maine, whipping the dull green Atlantic into a white-framing real home.
Somewhere in a mad mountainous sea, a sailing vessel rolls and fiches, or decks, a watch to meet the heavy waves. In a land desperately for mercy, he lifts her far to the black sky, And then with the shutter, the gallant crab slips downward to her grave.
Wait a minute, sir. Wait a minute, sir. Here, Bob. What is it? Mr. Winthrop, Captain January wants you. He found his small boat just off Great Rock. He dragged it up on the people from the hundreds.
Yes, sir. And there was someone in it. I'll take you there. Never mind. I'll find you myself. Captain January. January! Over here! It's there in the Indroster. What happened? What ever said you wanted me.
I did, sir. But it's too late. She's gone. She? Who? A passenger off the frontrest. In the pit, off a day, an open boat. Come over this way, sir. There she is, Mr. Binsock. This woman has been dead for hours.
