Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux video theater brings you Alice Fay and Robert Young in Hello, Frisco, Hello. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer Mr. Cecil V. DeMille. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

San Francisco is a lusty town with a past of roaring adventure and the present of roaring war production. And San Francisco is a romantic town town, with a tradition of color and excitement drawn from the seven seas of the world.

It's often been a background for drama, but tonight it's the scene of a gay and musical romance called Hello Frisco Hello. Now San Francisco is a bit sensitive about contractions of its beautiful name, so when the 20th Century Fox picture played there the title was discreetly changed to Hello San Francisco Hello.

To prove our own good neighbor, Palisade, we've brought the chief charm of the picture to this stage, Miss Alice Spade. Tonight, Bob Young, co-stars with Alice, and the whole combination is our idea of perfect entertainment.

We borrowed Bob from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where he's delving into the mysterious, in a picture called the Cantaville Ghost. Alice Spade is delighting the technical cameras at 20th Century Fox, in the gang's all here, And tonight they start together for the first time with Alice singing the hit songs of Hello, Frisco, Hello, the story of an entertainer who found romance and excitement in the city

by the Golden Gate. Some day that same Golden Gate will give many returning Americans the first sight of their homeland and they'll have strange and fantastic tale to tell. Here's one that comes in advance.

My brother is now serving in the South Pacific, a girl right from Texas. Since he's been away, we always, he was very particular about his appearance. My sister and I, since he's been away, took a few cakes of his favorite luxe toilet soap in every box we send him.
