Luck presents Hollywood. The Luck's Radio Theater brings you Mary Martin and Vic Powell in My Gal Sal. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. DeMille. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

From a little Indiana town on the banks of the war badge, two brothers once went forth to conquer the world. The younger wrote some of America's greatest novels. The older wrote some of our best-loved songs.

The name of the novelist you all know, Theodore Dreyse. The name of the songwriter, you may never have heard, but most of you will always remember on the banks of the war badge. It was written by Theodore's brother Paul, who changed one letter of the family name and was known as Paul Dreyse.

Some months ago, Theodore Dreyse wrote the story of his brother's life. From that story, 20th Century Fox made the motion picture called My Gay or Foul. And tonight we bring it to you with Mary Martin as Sal and Dick Powell as Paul Dresher.

It's a brave story of a young man who met life with a smile on his lips and a song in his heart and let the future take care of itself. Tonight we'll hear those songs sung by Mary Martin and Dick Powell, songs like on the banks of the war badge and my gal Sal.

Cunes like these are the best answer I know to some of the letters we've been getting in the past few months, letters such as this one from Baltimore. A woman writes, I hadn't missed a Lux Radio Theatre performance in four years. I'd been buying Lux servants so far under the net, so perhaps I have a right to make a request.
