Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theatre brings you Judy Garland, John Payne, and Adolf Manjou in Morning Glory. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. DeMille. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.
The odds were 10,000 to 1 against a certain 13-year-old girl who came to a certain Hollywood studio looking for a job. But the theatre was in our blood. Her mother and father were Vodavilions. She herself had worked in a singing act with her sisters.
And like every other trooper the world over, Judy Garland wanted to be a star. Seven years have passed. And the dreams of our little 10,000 to one shot have come true. Judy is a star.
The latest evidence of that is the new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture for me and my gal. Because she's lived so much of tonight's story herself, We cast her as one of the stars in Zoey Aiken's great drama of the footlights, the RKO motion picture, Morning Glory.

Later a newspaper cartoon gave a very graphic picture of the same activity, and consequently my mail has been full of letters from men all over the country who turn out to be brothers
