Now Voyager

Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theater brings you Ida Lupino and Paul Henry in Now Voyager with Dame A. Whitty and Albert Decker. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. DeMille. Greetings from Hollywood ladies and gentlemen.

I made all the hustle and bustle of these rough days, that come a love story so fine and moving, that it's gone straight to the heart of America. It's Warner Brothers' distinguished motion picture, Now Voyager.

Co-starring tonight with Ida Lupino, we have one of the most sensational newcomers Hollywood has seen in many a day. He pronounces his name Paul Henry. He and Ida Lupino have just finished the picture devotion at Warner Brothers.

And tonight you'll also hear two of Hollywood's finest character players, Dame Mae Houdy and Albert Jekka. Idyllopino's part is a challenge to any actress, because in now Voyager, he really plays two women, the girl who lives under the domination of her mother, and a woman who learns to meet love on its own terms.

I believe this play has a universal appeal, and so apparently there's the product behind it, luxe flakes. Take this letter from a flyer in Egypt. Out here we do our own dobi, that means laundry.

Now heating apparatus is a four gallon gasoline tin cut in half and about four inches of dirt put in the bottom. All you have to do is pour in a little gasoline until the dirt is soaked.

Toss in a match, put your water tin on top and there you have water. I was scrubbing away sitting on a bomb tin with a washed tin full of dough be trying to get the stuff clean and I did it too.
