Lux presents Hollywood. Lux very old theater brings you Joan Fontaine and Brian Herne in suspicion with Nigel Bruce. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. Jamill. Greetings from Hollywood ladies and gentlemen. We Americans are a nation of mystery lovers. The sliding panel, the creaking stair, bring a shiver of pleasure to a hundred million spines. We wait with baited breath for the next chapter to reveal
who done it. And don't tell me there's nothing new and mystery is either. Because we have it here tonight, the RKO drama, Suspicion. It's the same gripping yarn that gave Joan Fante in the part that won her an Academy Award. And tonight she co-stars with Brian Ahn. There are no sliding panels or creaking stairs in Suspicion. But in just about three acts from
now, I think you will agree it's one of the most absorbing mysteries of the year. Two young people in love with a strange threat hanging over them. These are the ingredients of suspicion. Shake well and you have an excellent spring tonic. And in the spring a housewife's fancy usually turns to thoughts of house cleaning. But we got a different slant on the subject
the other day from a listener in North Dakota. I don't believe anyone is happier to see spring come that we are up here," she writes. And so it seems like a good time to thank Lux Flakes for bringing us the Lux Radio Theatre.
It's our most valued entertainment all went along. We aren't snowed in all the time, but we don't go very far when the sky is grey. The snow is gone now, and so is that supply of Lux Flakes we acquired last fall.
