Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theatre brings you Gloria Jean, C. Aubrey Smith, Helen Parish, and Frank Albertson in a little bit of heaven. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. Gamil. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

The elderly individual with the side is ready to cut another year from under our feet. That makes most of us feel a bit older. But age will give way to youth tomorrow night when the new year is born.

So tonight we get to jump on for the time because the Lux Radio Theatre is bustling with youth. The youthful spirits of twelve-year-old Gloria Jean of Helen Parish of Frank Albertson and another who stayed young longer than any boy I know, C. Aubrey Smith, who is now romping past the 25th milestone of his motion picture career.

Our play is a little bit of heaven, recently released nationally by Universal Pictures. It's a good title, especially for the Christmas season. And it's guaranteed because the songs of Gloria Jean are really a little bit of heaven on earth.

Gloria went back home to Pennsylvania to spend Christmas with her family and friends, but she had to promise that she wouldn't forget us in the excitement of the holiday. And she kept that promise by showing up with a first rehearsal just about letter perfect in our part.

In a little bit of heaven she plays a very young radio singer who becomes a star overnight. That's what actually happened to Gloria in pictures, so she knows where she acts, although she didn't have quite the same complications in real life as in the play.

In another leading role in this merry production is a star of many years' standing. The star behind the scenes of the Lux Radio Theatre, Lux Flakes. It's setting new records in popularity every day with housewives.
