Lux presents Hollywood. Buck's radio theater brings you Martha Scott and William Goggin in Cheers for Miss Bishop. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. Jamill, greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

One of the keystones of democracy is the magic formula that pursues American youth from the first grade to a college degree, Raiden, Riten and Rithmatic. And somewhere in the memory of most of us, There's a deep appreciation of some great and humble teacher who we used to think made life miserable for us.

So tonight we turn back the years and remember. Cheers for Miss Bishop. It's a warmly human story of one such woman. A teacher and us in a small American college. And we bring it to you with Martha Scott and William Gargon in the original stars of Richard Rowan's Fine Motion Picture just released by United Artists.

You know, when we raise the curtain on one of these Monday night plays, we are presenting the finished product of a good deal of hard work and experiment. The kind of work it takes to get the best out of the best materials.

Of course, that's a tradition in any theatre, and particularly in this one, because the little package behind it, Luxe toilet soap, has the same kind of background. No finished product is any better than the amount of work and care that goes into it, And that's one thing that makes Lux Turlet's open name, which stands for the best in millions

of American homes. And we have that very much in mind when we raise the curtain and say, Lux presents. Tonight it presents an exquisite love story. But cheers for Miss Bishop is more than that.
