Prisoner of Zenda

From Hollywood, California, the Lux Radio Theatre presents Ronald Coleman, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and Bonita Hume in the Prisoner of Zenda. Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theatre comes to you with the good wishes of the makers of Lux Flakes.

It is your loyalty to Lux Flakes that makes it possible for us to bring you these programs week after week. And every time you buy Lux, I wish you'd remember this. Just a few flakes of gentle lucks make so many sounds.

Lucks is the thrifty care for everything safe and water alone. The thrifty way to do dishes. So it's a smart idea to keep lucks in the three places you use it most. In the bathroom, for stockings, underthings, and the fitty accessories that make you look so dainty.

In the kitchen for your dishes, and the laundry for your dresses and sweaters. Tonight, Ronald Coleman, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Venita Hume, C. Aubrey Smith, Ralph... about the finest complexion care obtainable. I've seen luxe open the dressing rooms in homes of any number of stars, actresses who could afford to spend almost any amount of money.

Thanks for telling us that, Kathleen. But your job is to get good ideas for fan magazines. The fourteen of them that appear every month have a combined circulation of ten million. Each one prints about ten articles, which means that out of somewhere must arise 140 ideas every 30 days. Where do they come from?

Well, take that recent article, Colin. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. Greetings from the city of the fast fade out. Where actors know that their years of stardom are limited to usually not over five.
