Hollywood, California, Monday, December 14th. The Lax Radio Theatre presents Jean Hollow and Robert Taylor in Madam San-Gen with Claude Brains and C. Henry Gordon. That's presents Hollywood, our stars Jean Hollow, Robert Taylor, Claude Brains and C.
Henry Gordon, our guests, Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte and William Councilman, screenwriter and creator of Ella Cinders. Our producer Cecil B. DeMille, our conductor, Louis Silvers. To you who crowd our theatre on Hollywood Boulevard tonight, and to you unseen millions, the nation over, welcome to the Lux Radio Theatre.
All for a do and a don'ts. Use all the cosmetic and rules you wish, but don't run the risk of getting cosmetic skin, with its tiny blemishes and largeing pores and dull complexion. Protect your skin, skin, the way nine out of ten screen stars do, with luck, toilet soap, whose active lather cleanses the pores thoroughly and leaves your skin healthily clean, smooth and lovely.
I now turn you over to the producer of the Lutz Radio Theatre, ladies and gentlemen, at your Cecil D. Gomel! Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen. To preface tonight's play, as it would be prefaced on the screen, I should smack my lips, lands at the audience and raw like the Metro Golden Mayor Lyell.
For we're presenting two of MGM's brightest stars, Jean Harlow and Robert Taylor. I've been hearing about Jean ever since she was a child. My daughter Cecilia used to come home from school and tell me that this little blue-eyed blonde was making so many conquests there weren't enough boys left to go around.
At 17, Jean was offered a contract by the Halroat Studios. But the shock of seeing her on the screen was too much for her grandfather. His telephone call from Kansas City resulted in her promise to stop acting.
