Welcome to Hollywood. The Iron Forces Radio and Television Service brings you the Hollywood Radio Theater starring Anne Blythe and Charles Beckford in Song of Bernadette. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Irving Cummings. Greetings from Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

Tonight we present Song of Bernadette, another of our 20 Grades. It's the story of a simple peasant girl who's tremendous faith, and lifted her to eternal fame. Based on the fine book by Franz Wilfel, the 20th Century Fox picture achieved through dramatic beauty.

And as our stars, we have that lovely and sensitive artist, Anne Blythe. And Charles Bickford repeating his memorable screen performance. Now act one of Song of Bernadette, starring Anne Blythe as Bernadette, and Charles Bickford has piled up Peirabao.

Those who believe in God, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe in God, no explanation is possible. This is the story of Bernadette Subaru, a young peasant girl, simple, uneducated, who lived in the town of Lord in Southern France.

The year is 1858, a bad year for Bernadette's father, out of work now for many weeks. Gant-swa? Miss Mani, where did you get it? A day's work? Where? You didn't beg. Worse. The dirt and garbage from the hospital had to be carted away and burned.

That's the kind of job they get to Subidog. Where are the children? We'll be home when they get hungry. Bernadette? She seemed better today. She went to school with Marie, but she didn't know her catechism.

How can she learn when she's sick at the time with asthma? The pyramal gave them all holy pictures. Mr. Terese may burn a deathly turn her. Maybe now she'll study harder. She should be studying now, but she wanted to go with Marie and her friend to get firewood.
