Welcome to Hollywood. The Iron Forces Radio and Television Service brings you the Hollywood Radio Theater, starring Cary Grant and Irene Dunn in The Awful Truth. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Irving Cummings. From Hollywood, ladies and gentlemen.

Tonight we present another of our 20 Grates, The Awful Truth. Not only was this Columbia Pictures Green hit one of the funniest comedies of all time, time, but it brought together two of Hollywood's greatest comedians, our stars, Cary Grant and Irene Dunn. Now act one of the awful truth, starring Irene Dunn as

Lucy and Cary Grant as Jerry. The sun lamproom of a mid-town Manhattan athletic club, Hank the attendant, his piling towels on a shelf as a young man in Jim trunks makes a hurried entrance. He's Jerry Warren, a tall, well-built and healthy.

But just now there's a sharp contrast between his decided palace and the two docked magnificent circles under his eyes. Well, hey Mr. Warren, I'll hide this morning. How do I look? When you look a little bit...

Yeah, you know, never mind Hank. Just turn on that sun lamp and give her all she's got. About 15 minutes on each side is all I'd recommend, Mr. Warren. 15 minutes? Nothing. I'm gonna get a deep floor at the tan if it takes all afternoon.

Give it the juice. Right now? Okay. Annaborn, don't forget to turn me over when I'm done. Hi, Jerry. Oh, hello, Frank. Heard you were in here. How about a little game of squash? Oh, sorry, Frank.

No time. Say, you're awfully white skin for a guy who just spent two weeks in Florida. You know, that's what I thought too. Could it be you didn't go? Ha ha ha. Don't let an idea like that get around.
