actor, Jeff Chandler. Now, because of you, starring June Allison as Christine and and Jeff Chandler as Steve. I first met Christine Carroll 1944. Like all newcomers to the state prison for women, she was brought to my office for an interview.

A young, good-looking girl, first offender. She'd been sentenced for two years. You can sit down, Christine. This is Mrs. Gordon. She's Nathan here. We're going to put you to work, Christine. You'll be assigned to the textile mill.

Now we have better jobs, but it's all going to depend on you. I don't plan to give you any trouble. Well, I know that you were arrested with a man named Mike Monroe. Monroe was found guilty of armed robbery.

Most of the money was in your possession. Is that true? Mike gave me a package. I didn't know what was in it. You were his girl, weren't you? We were going to be married if that's what you mean.
