Jerry of the Circus. Before Jerry of the Circus. Why don't you go out and friends Jerry? About bumps. I want to watch from here tonight. Well you won't see much
of the show. The pad rooms are pretty busy plays. Padroom. That's what we call this tent. The performers always wait here until it's time for the rack. Oh, kind of a waiting room, huh? Yeah, that's it. Then when we have a quick costume change to make, we'll do it right Well, if I'm not in the way.
Oh, you can stay here if you want, O'Jerry. Oh, gee. Just to see y'all going out and hear the music and be close to the animals all around. You can dig your toes into the old sodas there.
It gets into your blood, doesn't it, Jerry? How do you know? Say, listen, Jerry. What do you think I've followed this crazy business for? Money? Say I could make twice as much in vaudeville or a show in New York and live like decent folk.
But then you wouldn't have the animals in the traveling and the smells and the sleeping every night on a lumpy bed Sometimes no bed at all But Jerry I wouldn't give up this life of the grandest bed in the world They're coming in now. Oh look at them scramble for the front seat. It's nice and clean. Oh, doesn't it?
Yeah, who will last long? Oh, I wish I really belong. Oh, you think you belong soon enough with your arms ached from lugging heavy pails of water and you don't have time to catch the show for weeks.
Maybe months. The band's going in. Yeah. Oh, hello there, Jim. Hi, Bob. What's like a rat want tonight? I guess, uh, Mr. Andrews said the midway was packed. Hey, now, what's your dog there, Jim?
