04- Meeting Ted and William

Jerry at Peroaks. How much longer do we have to mark? Right, Jerry. No talking and ranks.

Don't be throwing just a minute. Nate! Oh! Can I do it? Report to me when the company is dismissed. Bob, Evans and Lockhart, report to the stable and get your instructions from Sergeant Allen. Company dismissed.

You want to see me, Major Metcan? Yes, Durgen. Come on over here while we can sit down. Yes, sir. Tired? No, sir. Just a little out of breath. Say you did all right for your first time in formation.

I expected to see you bringing up the rear. You've never done any drill work before, Adion? No, sir. Come on, let's sit down. There we are. You kind of got mixed up on that right by squads, didn't you?

Yes, that one sort of surprised me. I didn't get a chance to see what we were going to do. I noticed you watching the men next to you. But you want to hurry up and learn as much as you can so you won't have to watch.

You've got to keep your eyes straight ahead, or forward drilling. You might get your roommate to help you a little. Yes, sir. You're going to make a good cadet, Dugan. Just get up on your toes and keep your eyes nears open.

It's very much worthwhile trying to do your best here, Farrokes. You know, there's no limit to how high you can go, why I started the same as you did a couple of years ago. All of the officers did.

We were all pleads once. Yes, sir, I know that. You can drop the sir now. Your first name is Jerry, isn't it? That's right. Mine's dead. I'm glad to know you, sir. Dad. Informally, we'll address each other by our first names.
