In the territory on West, there's just one way to handle the killers and the spoilers, and that's with a U.S. Marshal and the smell of gun smoke. Starring William Conrad, the story of the violence that moved West with young America, and the story of a man who moved with it.

I'm that man, Matt Dillon, the United States Marshal, the first man they look for and the last they want to meet. It's a chancey job, but it makes a man watchful, but a little lonely.

Mr. Dilin, how to be somewhere to lay the dust long and fly there? Hello, my grisco. What has it done once a week, Chester? Sure, and they've made up your knees for two days, and that's all the rest of the time.

I guess that's the price of civilization. What is it? Dust. What civilization got to a dust? Oh, Dodge has grown, Chester. More people coming west all the time. Yeah. We are moving on with ourselves.

Now we're to. Oh, I don't know. For a rate of territory maybe. Yeah, you look at there. What? Well, that sign there, an instrument. Flapping gas show tonight. Fino Mina. What? That's phenomenon, Chess. Well, Stafford's laughing gas show.

Amazing. Fireless admission. 25th scene. It looks like that is getting some entertainment. You see, I told you it was getting civilized. Well, if I could get me the loan, a 25 cent cash show would be there tonight.

Yeah, and you'd probably enjoy it. Well, there ain't nothing wrong with them, Phil. No. 25 cents, plus... That ain't a whole lot of money. Ah, you're right. And I could pay back whoever loaned it, comes out to get me the loan.
