And in the past decade, one such athlete, Chicago born and bred in a product of its public high school has become known intimately to millions of spectators across the nation as one of the greatest performers of his generation. Here's the former University of Illinois track and football star, Claude Buddy Young, about whom we hear in today's chapter entitled, The Buddy Young Story.
