Destination Freedom. Destination Freedom. Prometrizations of the great democratic heritage of the Negro people. Brought to you by Station WMAQ as a part of the Pageant of History and of America's own Destination Freedom. This week we tell the story of Jackie Robinson, famous star player of the Brooklyn Dodgers, in a chapter entitled The Rime of the Ancient Dodgers.

Through the neon jungles of Brooklyn, New York, Fox Sammy the Pammies, an ancient doger, a man Brooklyn's barber believes is dead, but of his glittering eye, baseball fans live in dread. He stalks the streets like a graveyard ghost, hands outstretched like he's looking for a quarter, inspecting the citizens from maids to the mayor

till he spies a dame who's missed the game. And with his hairy mitty grams of color, Then this earth-shattering question he starts to holler. St. Babe, did you see them bums play to them? Did you?

Now I ain't seen no game popper. Un-color me or I'll cuff ya. You mean you missed a Dodgers game today? Didn't I say so? Did your mother die? Did you have a stroke? Or was it just flat broke?

Nita, I was getting married to Timothy Rogers. You mean you're gonna divorce the Dodgers? So what? Who wouldn't ever be you to butter? Babe, I'm Sammy Dawami. Well, Scrammy, Sammy. Hey, I'm from the Unbrookland activities coming.

For being so disloyal, I could have you burrowed in there. Oh, if I had a move, I'd have been there. Uncall me, please. Give me here. The ancient dowger dropped his hand, but pinned on her his whammy eye, whose power made her pulse as slow, made traffic stop, made night turn day, and the babe had to hear what Sammy had to say.
