Song - Clandy Lowered the Boom

Dennis Day, Barbara Eiler, and yours truly Vern Smith in cooperation with the National Safety Council, bring you an unsafe day in the life of Dennis Day. Dennis has been taking art lessons by mail, and today for his correspondence school graduation, he's painting a portrait of his sweetheart, Mildred Anderson.

There Mildred, your painting is done. Take a look at it. Oh, Dennis, it's beautiful. Here, let me kiss you. Mm. Gee, that's wonderful. You're the very first model I've ever kissed. How many models have you played in?

Six. Hey, what'd you slap me for? Because you spent so much time with those other girls. Well, they weren't girls. My other models were a house, a dog, a cat, and three bowls of Mrs. Murphy's chowder.

Here's Dennis to saying, Clancy, Lord, the Boom. Clancy was a peaceful man if you know what I mean. The cops picked up the pieces after Clancy left the scene. He never looked for trouble that's a fact you can assume But nevertheless when trouble would press Clancy Lord the Boom Oh, that Clancy Oh, that Clancy

Whenever they got his Irish up Clancy Lord the Boom Oh, here he was the fight man They all knew he was tough He strutted round the neighborhood To shoot not his gut He picked a fight with Clancy Then and there he sealed his jewel Before he could shout, hold air in the goat!

Clant he load the bull, oh that's fancy! Oh that's fancy! Whenever they got his Irish up, Clant he load the bull! Now Clant he left the barber shop with tonic on his hair. He walked into the pool room and he met O'Reilly there.
