Windfall

Are you willing to undertake a dangerous mission behind enemy lines? Knowing that you may never return alive? What you have just heard is the question asked during the war of agents of the OSS. Ordinary citizens who do this question answered?

Yes. This is... Cloak and Dagger. Warfare. Espionage. International entry. These are the weapons of the OSS. In today's adventure, Windfall, the part of McAllister is played by Lestra Mane. Jan Miner plays Jan and Mike Slade is played by Bill Quinn. The story is suggested by actual incidents recorded in the Washington Files of the Office of Strategic Services. A story that can now be

told. We had three new guests at the lodge at Noamont that day. The first one I didn't have to have to have lunch and I recognized him right away. At least I thought I did.

I didn't know who he was, but I thought I knew what he was. I felt American for one thing and probably a member of the diplomatic mission at Barron. I wish now that that was all he had been.

You have a reservation for me? The name is you? Heywood. Frederick. Heywood. One moment, Miss you? I may have met a note of that name as I shuffled my cards and dealt myself another hand of solitaire.

I was sitting in a lobby close to the desk and not by accident either. I made it my business to catch the names of new arrivals. If you know a man's name, he's usually more willing to sit down at a card table with you.

And if the guest at Noamant didn't play cards with me, how could I eat? Well, Clerk, do you have the reservation or not? Yes, he hits me, it was from yesterday from Bill. Your room is being prepared now.
