The Snowball

Good evening. This is Ken Roberts, inviting you to listen to another adventure of Casey, crime photographer. Ace cameraman who covers the crime news of a great city. Our adventure for tonight... Snowball! About half past ten.

A sporty little blucid man makes a two wide turn out of a quiet residential street, and weaves crazily to the main thoroughfare. In a police prowl car that is been idling along. Look at that studs.

I see it, Ryan. We'll stop that little blue wagon quick. I drive it with the lift of the rafters. Even when there's a day behind that wheel, when a gal tanks up those fancy cracktas.

We soon see. Pull up there! I pull up you! Okay, okay. West Marrow, sir. You win, Ryan. It's a guy. I wasn't speeding that in. It had no chance, dear brother. You're under arrest for drunken driving.

Why do you mean drunken driving? We can see how sov you are. And smell. Well, I'll have a few scars. That's a license in carriages. Well, look. I wasn't so wrong either, Ryan. There's a dame in this back seat.

Hope it up with a blanket. What do you mean, a dame? Get about your girlfriend, Mr. I didn't have a drunk. The dame's passed out, Stotsy. Yeah, up cold. Hey, she is cold. Ryan, this woman's dead.

Dead. Look at the bruises on her neck. I think she's been strangled. I never saw that woman before. I never saw that woman before! I never saw that woman before Captain. I never saw that woman before Captain!

I thought you in just a minute, mister. Captain Logan's busy, I'll take your picture, Chum. Doc, what's your verdict? This woman's been dead about an hour, maybe a little more. I'd say she was strangled, about 9.30.
