Another cup of Maxwell House coffee, George. Sure. Pour me a cup, Gracey. You know, Maxwell House is always good to the last. Woooo! Drop. And that drops good, too. Yes, it's Maxwell House coffee time, starring George Burns and Gracie Allen.

With yours truly Bill Goodwin, the music of Meredith Wilson and his orchestra, Lou Merrill and our happy postman Mel Blank. For your Thursday night comedy enjoyment is George and Gracie, and for your everyday coffee drinking enjoyment, it's Maxwell House.

Expertly blended and radiant roasted for rich mellow, extra flavor. Maxwell House, the coffee that's always good to the last drop. Last week, Gracie decided to earn her own Christmas shopping money and started out by selling Georgia's cigars.

George put a stop to that, but in Gracie's vocabulary, there is no such word as surrender. So two days later, they had a collar. Yes? Your name's George Burns. That's right. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, making your poor wife drive a taxi.

Huh? Here's a summons to appear in traffic court on 15 counts. Oh, wait a minute. It's guys like you that make guys like me hate guys like you. But I didn't... Gracie. I heard him there.

Okay, start explaining. Well, I thought I could make some Christmas money. If I took our cards, started a yellow cab service. Our car is black. You'd be surprised what ten gallons of yellow paint can do.

What about these traffic citations? Fifteen of them for going through red lights. How do you explain that? Oh, that's very simple. They only caught me fifteen times. You went through more? I have to. Every time I stopped for a red light, I lost money.
