Well hello, come right in. Oh, dear. This is Bill Goodman speaking for Lever Brothers, makers of Swan's, a new white clothing suit. Well, it's Tuesday night again, time for another pleasant visit with George Burns and Gracie Allen.
Their two distinguished guests, Jose and Terbie and Dean Staylor, Jimmy Cash and Paul Whiteman and his music. And now meet the people who live in the Burns house, George and Gracie. Well, Gracie is still determined to play at Paul Whiteman's concert at Carnegie Hall next Tuesday.
She's practicing now, and George and Paul are trying to make her listen to reason. Gracie, you can't do this before. You'll ruin my reputation. What'd you say, Paul? I said you can't do this to me. You'll ruin my reputation.
What'd you say? Or Pete's sake will you stop playing and listen. Paul said your rule is reputation. Oh, well, that's silly Paul. We won't be alone in kind of the whole thousand of the people that they get.
Yeah, that's what he was afraid of. But Paul, I played with you last year at a concert given by the Beverly Hills, upless society. But this is different. This is kind of getting more. All the critics will be there.
What did you say Paul? I said all the critics will be there. That's called me Paul. Hello? Oh yes, the insurance company. Well, look, here's what I wanted. I'm going to play the piano in Carnegie Hall and I want to ensure my finger. Which finger? Why the one I play the piano with?
What? Well, mine has a lot of money. Well, I'll tell you what, Just insured up to the first knuckle. Goodbye. Gracie, we've been friends for a long time. Well, don't you forget the concert. What did you say, Paul?
