Kingston And The15-story Disappearing Office Building

This is Charlie Kingston. Oh, Charlie, hello.

Hi. Well, when did you get to town? Yesterday. Hey, you're a fine friend you were. Blackie, I need a friend right now. Oh, you're a double blackie. This is the most fantastic thing that's ever happened to me.

Oh, you mean you put over a big deal that didn't get you into trouble? It's even more unbelievable than that. All right. What have you done this time? I bought a 15-story office building for a million dollars.

So what? Even if it's not worth a dime, what's a million to you? Let me finish up, Blackie. I don't know whether to tell you not. After all this, you'd better. Well, I bought the building yesterday.

I saw it at five o'clock yesterday afternoon and at six I signed the papers for it. Well, you don't like to work fast, do you? Well, nothing. Everything was alright till this morning at ten o'clock.

When I went to look at the building again, Blackie, I just know you won't believe this. Don't believe what? When I went to look at what I bought, it was nothing but a vacant lot.

Oh, no. Blackie, that 15-story office building, vanished overnight. Now back to Dick Palmer as Boston Blucky. Enemy to those who make him an enemy. Friend to those who have no friend. Hello, it is Blucky.

Corner of Oak and Smith Street. A vacant lot. Yes, Charlie. I can see that from here. Let's get out and see if the street signs have been tampered with. I'll get out your sign. I'll have to tell you that building was here at five o'clock yesterday afternoon.
