Joe Crain Hired Killer

Nobody saw me. You sure know one saw you? Yeah, I'm sure. Tom, it's exactly five o'clock. Yeah, I'd meet for five in the afternoon. So here I am at five sharp. Want to get started right away?

Yes, as soon as we get it over with the better. There's the rope and something to gag me with. You can tie me to this chair here. OK. You just sit down, take it easy, Mr. Vittis.

Huh? I'll be over before you. You know it. All right. Tommy couldn't tie Joe. I want this to look like the real thing. Ha ha ha. Right, I'm doing just that. Robesfield tight, don't they?

Oh, so they do. Well, don't worry, then, Mr. Peterson. This job will look McCoy enough to fool a smartest cop in town. Tighten that chair so tight, you're practically part of it. All right, which room's your wife, Anne?

Someone right there. Now put the guy on me and kill her in a hurry, will you? You mean everything to me, Mr. Peterson? Hey, gone, good and tight. Mm-hmm. I guess it's all good, now.

That's the dirty wife's room right there. Huh? Okay. Hey, Mrs. Paterson. Yes? Come on out here. Who is it? It's me, Joe. Joe Crane. Oh, what do you want? What the... What have you done to Arnold?

Nothing you didn't want me to do. What are you talking about? Just this. He hired me to come in and tie him up and gag him. What on earth for? So that then I could kill you. He'd have an alibi.

Oh, no. No, huh? Well, that's what you think. As husband, he always has no good. I'm beginning to believe that. Well, in that case, stick around and, uh... Watch me kill him. You might have some fun.
