Pedro Hears the Singing Drums

The Black Flame of the Amazon, featuring the jungle adventures of Harold Neut. Many days have come and gone since Mr. Neut first met Jean and Jimmy Brady, and what a fortunate meeting that was for the son and daughter of the famous archaeologist.

You'll recall that Neut's explorer, on an expedition up the mighty Amazon River, had beached his dugout on a sandbar one evening, discovered strange footprints on the shore, and decided to investigate. Accompanied by Pedro, his Portuguese assistant, they were following the trail.

I don't like this, Pedro. What prince made by boots? Small boots. In a place where footprints just should not be. He's a senior. And not the man's side boots. No. Maybe, maybe perhaps she is the big, me white man.

Yes, no? For the goodness, my sake, seignor. What was those? Oh, don't ask me, Pedro. That's a new sound in this jungle. No, no. There was not the jungle animal. No, no. That was something not good to hear.

And so cautiously, They headed toward that weird sound. Then, coming to a little clearing, well in from the river, suddenly Pedro sighed. An aeroplane, almost hidden in the dense jungle groat. So, crawling through the brush.

No, no, sounds of life around that planet, oh, Pedro. No, no, no. But look. You see? Yeah. They come fire, she's burning good. Well, come on, let's get a little near. Easy now. I was saying, what we may find here.

For the love of the little blue apples in your somebody she's shooting the shoot at us. Stand right where you are. Don't turn around. And drop those guns too. That's an order. Drop them. And here it was that Mr. Noison Pedro listened to a strange story.
