Playing a Joke on Pedro

When Mr. Noise gave orders to beach the dugouts at Morton's trading post near the junction of the whappays and the Poppery Rivers, he had but one idea in mind. To put Jean and Jimmy Brady ashore, while he hurried on upriver and turned upon capturing the two white vinegar gates which grogan and limey scrogons. But Jimmy and Jean just don't like to be left behind. So they made plans

to follow Mr. Noise in a canoe of their own. Mr. Noise and Morton's suspicion what is happening, and the plan to prevent the youngsters from making this trip. The plan is in the form of a joke, but Jimmy and Jean learned from their new found friend, Keto, the Indian boy, just for this one.

And now it's their turn. The three of them intend to play a trick on the explorer. Right now we find the Jimmy, Jean and Keto, bringing their big dugout back across the river and hiding it in the overhanging bushes.

Edie Keto, that should be far enough. We're away in the bushes now. Little more senior jeans. This end, it is very much out of the bushes. Little more. Just a little more fuzzy. Now it is good.

You see me? Dry land up at your end, Jimmy? Sure. A whole flock of it. The dugout is just touching the shore. Okay, senior jim, you get on the land. Hold this canoe till the senior eats and get on the shore.

That's what I'm already doing. Gosh, the bushes are thick. I can't say you back there, Kishol. Better not so loud speak. We'd better be very, very quiet now. You said, Akito. If we want to pull a joke on Mr. Nois, we'd have to be quiet, and I don't mean maybe.
