Sam Solowade. We had a date set up. Solowade brought his troubles out to me on the telephone. A rose gallery pinup boy, Joey Florio, at Skip, leaving Solowade holding me bag for bail bond money.

Mm, the cray. John, I'll wait, pull up a chair. I'll catch you waving. Through heartache, stardust, and melancholy, baby. Huh? The, uh, cute box over there. It's been crying for half an hour. You look mopey, Sam.

Mopey? Somebody should have tangled me before I became a bail-bondeman. Craig, you've got to catch me a rat. Joey Florio? Joey Florio, he jumped bail, yes. You're still here in New York. What makes you so sure?
