The Nimrod's having the party of the British Antarctic expedition left New Zealand on 1 January, 1900 late. We landed at Cape Roy's in the Antarctic, under the Great Volcano Mount Erebus at the beginning of February.
The southern journey started from Cape Roy's on 28 October, 1900 late. And on January the 9th of this year, 1909, the British flag was hoisted in latitude 8823 South and longitude 162. They found magnetic poles wall roots on the 16th of January by sea men.
They were 122 days out and they did a journey of a thousand 260 miles. Thus the northern magnetic pole and the southern magnetic pole have the British flag flying over there.
