What happens

Lou Costello and Bud Abbott receive a telegram from Costello's uncle Mike, a prospector in Alaska, saying he has struck gold and needs their help. The two men set off north, buying a dog sled and a team of dogs along the way. In Alaska they find Uncle Mike, but he is in jail rather than in the gold fields. The story is an Abbott and Costello comedy, one of the team's radio episodes from their series, first broadcast on March 3, 1948, on NBC and ABC. Abbott and Costello lead the cast, joined by Connie Haines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
