What happens

Lou Costello joins the band leader Matty Mouny and the singer Susan Miller in a comedy of mistaken identity and mixed-up romance on the Abbott and Costello radio show. Costello tries to win Susan's affection with gifts and flowery talk, and Bud Abbott teases him about his prospects. Lou then persuades the Treasury agents to accept him as a new T-man, and he and Bud are sent to investigate the Blue Goose Cafe at midnight. The broadcast is from the Abbott and Costello series, aired on NBC and ABC on March 31, 1948, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the leading roles, alongside Connie Haines.

A radio studio and a Hollywood office, then the Blue Goose Cafe and its gambling room.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
