What happens

Lou Costello is unwell, and Bud Abbott grows increasingly worried as his partner's behavior becomes strange. Lou jumbles his words, takes odd pills, and wanders the studio, while Abbott tries to get him the help he needs. Their exchanges with Betty and with Stella, and a series of confused remarks about vitamins, cold weather and his health, keep building the comic tension. Abbott takes Lou to see a doctor, first Dr. Bulfin and then Dr. Bauffain, whose office proves chaotic. The episode is a comedy in the Abbott and Costello Show series, aired on ABC in 1948 with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the lead, joined by Joe Kirk, Elvia Allman and Connie Haines.

Hollywood, at the Abbott and Costello studio, then a doctor's office and a rest home.

Listen for: Lou's garbled, nonsensical answers to Abbott's questions about his health and the doctors' visits.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
