What happens

Abbott and Costello run a newly bought gas station, and the partners quarrel over the work from the start. Costello is slow to grease a car and is no help with customers, and Abbott becomes frustrated with him. Costello's mishandling of a car leads to a dispute with a customer, Mrs. Niles, and further trouble follows as the two men try to settle the matter. This is an episode of the Abbott and Costello series, first broadcast on November 29, 1945, on NBC and ABC, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the leading roles.

Listen for: Costello's mix-ups over the car and his exchanges with Abbott about running the station.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
